What is Balanced Scorecard (BSC)? BSC is a measurement-based, strategic management and learning tool designed to align an organization's vision and mission with customer requirements assure our day-to-day work supports FAS goals and objectives, manage and evaluate business strategy monitor operation efficiency imporivements, and communicate progress to all employees. The scorecard allows FAS to measure financial and customer results, improve internal processes, and focus on learning and growth needs. Why was this particular tool chosen? BSC is widely used in many organizations (including higher education) and has also been chosen by Campus Life Services (CLS) and Human Resources (HR). Reports from users, including CLS and HR, indicate that the tool provides a valuable planning and management framework for their organizations. Why are we pursuing this right now when resources are so tight? in these times of constrained resources it is imperative to assure that we are making the best use of resources we do have to guide our decisions now and into the future. |
