Guidance for Non UC-Law Enforcement at UCSF

Guidance for Non UC-Law Enforcement at UCSF

We’ve developed a new web resource with guidance on how to respond if non-UCSF law enforcement officials, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials, arrive at any UCSF location. ‌

Dear Campus Colleagues,

At UCSF, our workplace is grounded in respect, support and trust, guided by our PRIDE Values.

We recognize that recent federal actions have created concern and uncertainty for many in our community. We want you to feel informed and supported should federal law enforcement officials show up at one of our campuses or care facilities.

To help you navigate these situations, we’ve developed a new web resource (VPN MyAccess required)with guidance on how to respond if non-UCSF law enforcement officials, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials, arrive at any UCSF location.

‌This guidance serves as both an educational tool and a guide to help you respond with care, confidence, and clarity. It is available in English, and will soon be available in Spanish and Simplified Chinese.

If law enforcement officials are present, please follow the steps outlined in the guidance, including first contacting your manager or supervisor who can reach out to UCSF Police Dispatch at (415) 476-1414. Please know that your safety, and the safety of those around you, is our highest priority.

Thank you for all you do to maintain a respectful and inclusive care environment for everyone in the UCSF Community.

Sincerely,
