‌We are pleased to announce that nominations for the 2026 Chancellor Awards for Exceptional University Service, Management and Public Service will be accepted until Friday, February 6, 2026.  

‌Dear UCSF Community,

‌We are pleased to announce that nominations for the 2026 Chancellor Awards for Exceptional University Service, Management and Public Service will be accepted until Friday, February 6, 2026.    

‌The Chancellor Awards recognize and celebrate our colleagues for their extraordinary contributions to UCSF and the larger local and global community. The eligibility requirements, award criteria, and a list of prior recipients are available on the Chancellor Award webpage. Please reference the nomination guide for tips and templates.

After eight years on the selection committee, I know that for every award we give, there are a dozen more untold stories of excellence. As Chair, I’m inviting you to help us find them. Your nomination ensures that the incredible voices driving 
UCSF’s achievements get the recognition they deserve.

 ‌‌Nominations will be accepted for the following awards:

Chancellor Award for Exceptional University Management  

This award recognizes extraordinary individuals for their professional performance and managerial service to the University, serving as a model for future generations of UCSF managers and supervisors.

Chancellor Award for Exceptional University Service

This award recognizes individuals for their extraordinary professional commitment and individual contribution to University service and citizenship, serving as a model for future generations of UCSF staff.

Chancellor Award for Public Service

This award recognizes outstanding individuals for their local or global community contributions and service involvement, serving as a model for future UCSF faculty, staff, students, and trainees.

To nominate individuals for the Exceptional University Management Award or the Exceptional University Service Award, please use the online nomination tool and contact the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for additional information or assistance.  

To nominate individuals for the Public Service Award, please use the online nomination tool and contact Edward Samayoa for additional information or assistance.
