April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The Police Department has been working with the
UCSF CARE Advocate to organize and manage the campaign in support of all survivors. Raising awareness about sexual violence educates our community on prevention and allows survivors to have a safe space for dialogue. It makes a statement that our community will not tolerate any form of sexual assault or sexual violence and highlights support resources.
Walk Against Rape, Saturday, April 6, 10am to 2pm, The Women’s Building, 3543 18th Street #8, San Francisco; 2.2 mile March through the Mission District to speak out against sexual violence and rape.
