One Good Thing - yellow sunray background

This week we close out the year with a special holiday message from SVC Gore and our second annual Year in Cookies. No news, no tasks, only holiday wishes and cheer. One Good Thing is the “cookie jar” of emails, designed to be a quick, sweet break in your week. We ask featured colleagues about their favorite cookie jar treat in every issue. We crunched the delicious data again this year – see the sweet results below Erin's message.

Dear FAS Community,

It brings me joy to see teams across FAS gathering virtually and in person to ring out the year. There is much to celebrate in our shared accomplishments for 2022! In early 2023, we’ll reflect on and recognize our achievements.

Your dedication shines through in your work. I am grateful my career path led me to UCSF, and I’m grateful yours did too. In keeping with the theme of short and sweet, enjoy your well-earned break and we’ll see you in 2023!

Happy holidays!

Year in Cookies 2022

We loved hearing about our colleagues' favorite sweet treats, especially SVC Gore's "all of them" response. There were also a few non-cookie favorites:

  • Anything with chocolate
  • Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, minus the ice cream
  • Chocolate croissant (pain au chocolate)
  • Crave Cookie Monster Cookies from San Diego
  • Esther’s Mochi
