‌Why a CI Fair?

‌Because all work and no play makes CI a dull culture! Continuous improvement has been around at UCSF for many years, quietly getting stronger and gaining momentum and the time has come to pay homage to its history here, to the current amazing work that is being done today and to gain insight as to what may be in store for the future.  What could be a better way to do that than with a Fair to celebrate all of this? ‌

‌More about the event

‌The CI Fair is designed to celebrate progress, achievements, and a space to draw inspiration and learning from one another in community. Booths are hosted by FAS units sharing in their own way how they promote a CI culture.

‌Some examples of what participants can expect at booths:

  • ‌Learning from a unit’s project that solved a problem and engaged people closest to the work to complete it.
  • ‌Be introduced to a developing A3/problem solving that the unit is working on and have your input as their catchball partner!
  • ‌Participate in a game or activity to support your learning of how to improve.

‌FAS managers are strongly encouraged to participate and to invite their staff and teams. ‌

I am so excited for this opportunity to bring our communities of continuous improvement practice together.

‌Looking forward to seeing you there!
