Dear Colleagues,

‌I am delighted to welcome Chris Carroll as UCSF’s new Executive Director of Project One Business Functions, our ambitious initiative to align UCSF Human Resources, Finance, Research Grants Management, Supply Chain and Student Information Systems into one integrated enterprise resource planning.

Chris Carroll, Executive Director, Project One Business Functions

Chris currently serves as Executive Director, Organizational Transformation and Service Delivery Lead at The University of Chicago. He brings proven expertise in organizational transformation, finance and administration operations, enterprise system implementation, communications, training and change management. His expertise in implementing enterprise resource planning (ERP) projects will be invaluable as we embark on this transformative multi-year journey.

‌“It’s exciting to be in Project One from such an early stage,” said Chris. “Initiatives of this scale are never easy, but with the leadership and vision from the UCSF Executive Sponsors and engagement from the Campus and Health community, we can have a long-lasting and positive impact on the way the organization operates.” ‌

‌He is dedicated to engaging directly with those impacted by Project One. “It’s not just about bringing people to the table. We need to authentically involve the UCSF community, listen to them and understand their business processes. There will be many changes to how we work now. How do we work together to make it better?” ‌

‌Chris will report into the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor and collaborate across the enterprise, including Health, Campus and the Schools.

‌He will begin on January 6, 2025. We look forward to welcoming him to UCSF in January and setting up opportunities to meet him.

‌Thank you to the selection committee for investing in a successful nationwide search. We are grateful for the many colleagues across UCSF who have invested many hours in getting Project One to this stage. With Chris’s leadership, we are poised to achieve even greater success.

‌Thank you for your continued support.‌
