2019 Value Improvement Program Timeline


Phase 1 – Fill out a brief proposal about your vision

  • Describe the current problem and your proposed solution on a simple online form.
    • Webinars have been scheduled for September 6, 1-2 pm and September 13, 3-4 pm for you to learn more about the program and ask questions. Registration is not required and you can add the webinar to your calendar by clicking on your preferred date and time above.
  • Applications will be accepted via the Open Proposals website September 5-18.
  • Want to get working on your proposal now? Download this template to jot down your brainchild before the application site opens. You will be asked to include an estimate of the benefits and an approximate budget for your project.

Receive Notification – applicants will be notified of proposal status by the Value Improvement Committee

  • Immediate go-ahead may be granted to some projects, especially smaller ones.
  • Larger project concepts will proceed to Phase 2 to develop a more detailed proposal.
  • Proposal authors will recieve an email with results of the review, and proposal status will be updated on the Open Proposals website.
October 15-
November 22

Phase 2 – Complete the proposal packet

  • Use these helpful templates to develop and submit your final proposal through the Open Proposals website: Budget and A3 Project Plan
  • Check your email for more details about coaching from FAS Finance Service Center and PMO experts to make your proposal really shine.
End of December Receive Final Approval – The FAS Executive Team will announce selected projects and provide next steps
