Dear Colleagues,
As a result of the leadership Esther Morales provides across UCSF and in recognition of Esther’s leadership and vision over the real estate activities of the Campus and Medical Center, I’m pleased to announce her new title of Assistant Vice Chancellor – Real Estate Services.
Esther provides advice and services to both Campus and Medical Center leadership related to real estate planning and development, policy, strategies, public-private partnerships, acquisition, disposition, leasing, and market activities involving real property. Esther regularly consults with the Office of the President, donors, and foundation real estate committee members to incorporate a wide variety of ideas into strategies and solutions that benefit UCSF.
Esther was instrumental in the development and delivery of the Sandler Neurosciences Center at Mission Bay under a new Public-Private partnership. She led the negotiations at UCSF for acquisition of land at Mission Bay. Currently, Esther is leading the discussions around our Laurel Heights property as a critical element of a long-term strategy to reposition UCSF’s real property.
