FAS Value Improvement – new projects announced

FAS Value Improvement Portfolio Expands with 19 New Projects

Dear Financial & Administrative Services (FAS) Community,

We are excited to share that our FAS Value Improvement (VI) portfolio has expanded to include 19 new projects for FY 22-24 (PDF). Some noteworthy features of this set of projects are that more than half of them are initiated and led by frontline staff and include projects which aim to impact areas such as engagement, sustainability, and FAS collaboration. Visit the Value Improvement Projects page to see a complete list with details of all current and past FAS VI projects. We will formally introduce the new projects at our April/May report-out event, and hope many of you can join us.

Special thanks to all our applicants who shared their improvement ideas with us this round. It is evident that our continuous improvement culture is spreading across FAS. We look forward to sharing more about these 19 projects later this year and creating new opportunities to showcase value improvement efforts throughout FAS that happen outside this portfolio.

We also want to acknowledge those hard at work behind the scenes to support our developing program: FAS Continuous Improvement Steering Committee members, department supervisors and managers working with VI project leaders and teams, and VI coaching team (Program Management Office and Financial Service Center). It takes a village to nurture a continuous improvement culture in FAS! We appreciate all you do to foster continuous improvement practice in your area.

Sincerely,

Stephanie Mackler
