Today, I am pleased to welcome Irene McGlynn, CIA, MBA, BBA to UCSF as Director of Internal Audit. Irene joins UCSF having over 15 years of audit experience with the past 11 years at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Her management experiences include overseeing staff in multiple locations with a primary focus on healthcare services.
Irene will have a dual reporting relationship to the University’s Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance and Audit Officer Sheryl Vacca and UCSF’s Senior Vice Chancellor John Plotts, with responsibilities to oversee and manage all aspects of audit activities for the UCSF enterprise in alignment with the University of California Audit Management Plan. She will also work very closely with UCSF’s Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer.
Irene McGlynn’s background and experience, along with her leadership, collaboration and communication abilities, will provide the strength to meet the unique challenges at UCSF.
