Share Your Voice: Staff Engagement Survey 2019

Share Your Voice: Staff Engagement Survey

Dear Financial and Administrative Services (FAS) Community,

On April 30, you will be invited to take our annual UCSF Staff Engagement Survey. It’s one way to assess how we are progressing toward our True North goal to create an optimal work experience. To me it’s about more than the numbers; it’s about the conversations we all have with our teams after the survey to understand what is going well and where we can do better.

More about the survey

“Engagement” doesn’t happen one time a year. If we are doing our jobs effectively as leaders, you should feel valued, heard, appreciated, informed and essential to our mission all year long––no matter what your role is in our organization.

The questions used in the survey were designed by Gallup to help us learn more about your work experience. Please look at our Staff Engagement Survey info sheet to learn more, and take a moment to think about what these questions mean to you. Our goal is 100% participation––to hear from everyone in FAS.

As the Chancellor noted in his email last week, important work on staff engagement is happening across all of UCSF to improve the workplace for everyone. Within FAS, we’ve invested in telling the story of the fantastic work you do every day.

More good things

One of my favorite projects is our One Good Thing newsletter pilot. I look forward to learning something new about our people and the work that happens within FAS to support our mission of caring, healing, teaching and discovering. You make me proud, and I hope you feel pride too. Today I’m excited to share our new One Good Thing webpage, featuring all of the stories we’ve featured so far.

You are an important member of our FAS village and I encourage you to share your voice.

Thank you,

Paul Jenny
